Tom Borrup, Principal.
A leader and innovator in community building for 30 years, Tom works with cities, foundations, nonprofits, and public agencies to tap the potential of their creative assets. His book, the Creative Community Builder's Handbook provides a step-by-step planning guide for community leaders.
Based in Minneapolis, he specializes in strategic planning, community transformation, partnership building, and program evaluation. He pioneered cultural asset mapping and leveraging cultural resources for economic development and civic participation. A prolific writer, Tom speaks and leads workshops across the US. He currently teaches for the University of Massachusetts, Drexel University, and St. Mary's University of Minnesota.

Erik Takeshita
With 20 years of community development experience in the nonprofit and public sectors, Erik provides strategic planning, program development, project management, and leadership development services to a wide-range of organizations interested in building stronger communities.
Erik is currently a Senior Program Officer for the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) leading their comprehensive community development work in the Twin Cities. He recently directed an art center in Honolulu using the arts to revitalize the downtown / Chinatown area. Previously, Erik served as a Senior Policy Aide to the Mayor of Minneapolis and worked in the City's Neighborhood Revitalization Program.
Erik has has taught arts-based approaches to community development as a lecturer at the University of Hawaii-Manoa, and at the University of Minnesota. He has a Masters of Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School and a Masters in Management from St. Mary's University of Minnesota. He is also an active ceramic artist.

Peter Musty
Peter Musty LLC is an urban design and project design consultancy based in the Twin Cities.
Following training at University of Notre Dame School of Architecture, Peter has 15 years of experience in the visioning and design of new towns, neighborhoods, suburban infill & downtown redevelopment projects in Minnesota and nationally. His projects include traditional, contextual and historically sensitive site master plans, urban design, development guidelines and building project design. Peter has participated in over 40 formal design charrettes for private developers and municipal clients.
CharretteCenter.com Inc, a partnership with his brother Mike, has been a national pioneer in documenting community based design practice and projects via the web.
Shirley Sneve
Shirley is executive director of Native American Public Telecommunications. Prior to that she was director of Arts Extension Service
in Amherst, Mass. A member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe, Shirley was a founder of Northern Plains Tribal Arts, the Oyate Trail, and
the Alliance of Tribal Tourism Advocates. She was director of Visual Arts Center in Sioux Falls, assistant director of South Dakota Arts
Council and a South Dakota Public Broadcasting producer.
As a CCB Associate, Shirley brings her varied expertise in telecommunications, educational design, and the production and
management of media, in addition to working with indigenous communities.

Harry Waters Jr.
Harry applies 30 years of acting and directing experience to community dialogue facilitation - getting stakeholders on their feet, exercising their voices, and moving joyously together.
Harry has worked with numerous CCB clients in multicultural and cross-generational settings. He is an Associate Professor in the Theater and Dance Department of Macalester College in St. Paul, and has made many appearances in regional theater, film, and TV

Heidi Wagner
Heidi leads research projects which have included wage data analysis and wage disparities in arts nonprofits. Recently she has focused on comparative research for communities for strategic and economic development planning. She has also headed strategic planning processes, database organization, and re-branding and marketing campaigns for grant based organizations.
Heidi received her Master of Arts in Arts Administration/Cultural Management from St. Mary's University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Music from Wichita State University.

Paul Anderton
Paul brings research, project coordination and marketing expertise to CCB clients.
A graduate of St. Mary's University through the Arts and Cultural Management Masters program, Paul also holds a B.A Hons in English and Theater Studies from Lancaster University in the UK.
As the New Business and Development Manager at AKA, the UK's leading arts marketing agency, Paul worked to establish strategies, promotions and marketing campaigns for a number of leading organizations including The Young Vic, The Royal Academy of Arts, the National History Museum London and the Royal National Theater

Rene Ford
Bringing expertise from the fields of media and education, Rene provides CCB with program evaluation skills and oversees field analysis projects.
As a Marketing and Media Producer, Rene has had a significant role in the development of many innovations in newspaper publishing and educational media production. His influence has stretched from daily print publications to digital educational production. An early pioneer of the conversion to digital broadcasting and digitally deployed teaching tools for teachers, students and parents, Rene's contributions have been acknowledged by leaders in media, government, education and community arts organizations across the US. Rene is also an active musician.

Craig Dreeszen
With a Ph.D in Regional Planning, and thirty years of experience in the field, Craig works across the country with local and state governments, foundations and community organizations to create strategic and cultural plans. He is an educator, consultant, and writer, whose book, The Community Cultural Planning Handbook; A guide to community leaders, set the standard for cultural planning in the US.
Craig oversees the public process, asset documentation alongside plan writing and creates strategic plans for public arts agencies and nonprofit arts organizations.
